Sigur Rós have announced a limited run of very special dates, performed with a 41-piece orchestra in both Europe.
Working with conductor Rob Ames and the London Contemporary Orchestra, Sigur Rós will be giving their very first series of orchestral concerts. The tour coincides with the release of the Icelanders’ first studio album in 10 years, with orchestral recordings from sessions with the London Contemporary Orchestra at London’s legendary Abbey Road studios.
Show dates are as follows:
16th June – Royal Festival Hall, London
18th June – Elbphilharmonie, London
17th June – Conzertgebuow, Amsterdam
27th June – Odeon of Herodus Atticus, Acropolis , Athens
3rd July – Philharmonie de Paris
