Skills, the new album from composer Sven Helbig is a melancholic hymn on humans’ ability to master extreme circumstances and develop perfection.
Helbig teams up with the London Contemporary Orchestra, deploying four french horns, a string quartet, vibraphones and electronics.
The sounds they create are added to by the visuals of artist Máni M Sigfússon, who has previously worked with Jóhann Jóhannsson, Sigur Rós, Kiasmos and the Rolling
Stones.
