After 18 months behind The Purcell Room reopens its doors by launching a brand new artistic strand, Purcell Sessions. Set to feature some of the most talked-about cultural moments of the year ahead, from audiovisual installations to new collaborations and commissions and cross-genre concepts by allowing artists to push the new ground with bold contemporary approaches.
Coby Sey along with the London Contemporary Orchestra brings a new angle to his gruff, haunting sounds and introspective lyrics. His sound is a powerful new addition to the UK’s contemporary music scene. Whities 010: Transport for Lewisham laid down a hazy mix of live instrumentation and electronic-based productions, overlaid by spoken vocals, underscored by muddy beats.
He also hosts a regular slot on NTS which offers a portal into his appealingly murky musical world.
