A first time collaboration between Philadelphia based interdisciplinary artist Moor Mother and the London Contemporary Orchestra, The Great Bailout is free verse poem that acts as a non linear word map about colonialism, slavery and commerce in Great Britain and her commonwealth. Moor Mother is an alias of Camae Ayewa, and she is not stranger to the Belgian audience: the musician, slam poet and multidisciplinary artist previously performed during the alternative film festival Courtisane.
The Great Bailout comes to Vooruit during the festival for VIDEODROOM: a series of concert evenings where top musicians representing a diversity of genres come and play new compositions live to accompany films and projections.
